Maple Grove Half Marathon and 5k Now Full
The 3rd annual Maple Grove Half Marathon and 5k are being held on May 22 at 7:30am. Unfortunately, all slots in both races have been filled. Both races will begin at the Maple Grove Senior High School stadium and the courses wind through the city finishing again at the High School. The half marathon starts at 7:30 am and the 5k starts at 7:45 am. Most expect the half marathon to be done by 11:00 am. Multiple roads will be closed or limited access during the race so if you are coming to watch or participate, leave early and have your GPS!
Both races are USATF certified courses. Both the half marathon and hhe 5k course starts and ends with a lap around the Maple Grove High school track. The 5k road portion is flat and fast while the half marathon has great views of the lakes and hills intermixed with challenging hills with 6 miles of the race on paved running paths. There will be water breaks every 2 miles or so along the half marathon course as well as timing splits at the 10k mark.
Award ceremony will follow both races with water, food, and finisher T-shirts available at the stadium. Many sponsors will have tables set up for you to visit.
